CellAED® achieves Certification

Rapid Response Revival is dedicated to improving the design, portability, cost and ease-of-use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). AEDs save lives. Their purpose is to make early defibrillation available to people experiencing out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Globally, more than six million people die every year from sudden cardiac arrest, with a survival rate of less than 1 per cent.1 Most of these deaths – more than 80 per cent – occur in homes.2 Rapid Response Revival is pioneering a solution to barriers to AED use and home ownership, including portability, ease of use, and cost. That solution is CellAED®.

CellAED® will be the world’s first personal AED.

Rapid Response Revival is currently undergoing rigorous assessments required of medical device regulators around the world.

CellAED® achieved CE Certification in May 2021, which applies to Member States of the European Economic Area. Rapid Response Revival is actively seeking regulatory approval for CellAED® in other jurisdictions around the world.
